The Widow Support - Aisha

The Widow Support Project has been a beacon of hope, especially for Aisha, a resilient mother of five. When we first met her a year ago, she was living in unbearable conditions, trapped in a moldy and dilapidated house with broken windows and doors, struggling to care for her seven children. Tragically, two of her children lost their lives due to inadequate healthcare and malnutrition.
Aisha’s plight was further compounded by safety concerns; one night, she narrowly escaped an attack in her own home due to poor lighting and the deteriorating infrastructure in her area. Witnessing her struggles compelled us to take action.
In 2025, with the generous assistance of another charity, we were able to help Aisha move into a new home. It was heartwarming to see her joy as she embraced her children in a safe environment. However, her journey is not over; she is still waiting for electricity, and two of her children are sleeping on the floor. To alleviate these challenges, we provided solar lighting and a large mattress to improve their living conditions.
Moreover, we gifted Aisha a commercial popcorn machine, which she plans to use to start a small business selling popcorn to schools and local businesses. This endeavor will help her generate income to support her family. We are grateful to see Aisha on her path to self-sufficiency, with Allah's will guiding her journey. Alhamdulillah, she is now empowered to stand on her own. Follow our Instagram for videos of this uplifting transformation!
“Aisha: “Alhumdullilah I don’t know how to thank you enough for your generosity I simply cannot find the words. What you have done for me and my children we can never forget. I can only ask Allah to reward you endlessly and thank you so much for everything!”“
